CHC53315 Diploma of Mental Health

During your course you will learn how to:

• Develop relationships with a diverse range of children and adults with a variety of mental health illnesses
• Advocate on behalf of children or adults impacted by drug and alcohol dependency
• Understand the complex nature of mental illness and provide support including referring your clients to specialist services
• Develop and implement care plans to support improvement in mental health illness
• Implement a range of approaches to mental health care including person centred and recovery oriented approaches
• Carry out a range of research and apply evidence based practice
• Provide and implement intervention, health prevention and mental illness promotion programs
